Golden Hour Field Couples Session

Tatum and Justin have done a few photoshoots with me now and I also did their wedding so these two have a special place in my heart! They frolicked in the open field and trusted me as their photographer as I guided them with photography prompts and poses. To say I am thrilled with how these couples photos turned out is an understatement!

THAT GOLDEN SUNLFARE!!!!!

How to Book Your Dream Wedding Photographer

Hiring a wedding photographer can be so overwhelming and daunting when there are so many to choose from within all different price ranges. How do you know which one is the best for you and what you should be looking for when booking a wedding photographer?! I get it, so I compiled a list of things to look for when booking wedding photographer!

Make sure they have ACTUALLY photographed a wedding before

I know that sounds obvious and maybe even a little silly, but styled wedding shoots are essentially sessions where everything is made to look extra pretty and look like a wedding couple. They’re essentially just to add to photographer's’ social media platforms and for letting those creative juices flow! Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong if photographers are doing these— they are gorgeous, fun, and great fillers during slower seasons (I love doing them myself when I have the time!) but they don’t represent the realness and actual flow of a wedding day. You just want to make sure that the wedding photographer you decide to go with has shot a couple of REAL weddings so you can rest assured that they understand how to run and work a wedding day so you can relax and feel confident that they know what to do!

Do you CONNECT with them?

As wedding photographers, we spend a LOT of time with our couples on one of the most important days of their lives! If you do not feel connected to a photographer or don’t feel like they truly invest themselves into you and your fiancé, you may not be the best fit for each other and that is OKAY (but this is something you should recognize prior to booking with them!) We want you to connect with us, just as much as you two want to feel connected with US!

Ask if they BACKUP your images after your wedding

This is SO important because technical errors can occur and the best thing you wedding photographer can do after a wedding is protect your precious images! Make sure that they have some sort of a system in place where they are storing your photos in more than one, even 2 spots. I store my couples’ photos in 4 different spots so that if I were ever to lose them in one spot, I haven’t lost them permanently!

Imagine YOURSELF in THEIR photos

You’ve stalked their Instagram and/or website and you’re just about ready to send over an inquiry form to get more information on availability and pricing, but can you picture YOURSELF (and your babe, of course!) on your wedding day with wedding images in that style or posing? Do you feel like if you had wedding photos like the ones that made you WANT this photographer, would you be happy with those?! It’s so important to make sure that photographer’s style (both shooting and editing) is what you want hanging up on your walls and in albums all over your house for the next 60+ years!

.Just remember, at the end of the day, we both want your wedding to be documented beautifully and the way YOU want, so don’t be afraid to hire someone you feel confident in doing just that for you on one of the most special days of your life!
